Pastor Paul, his wife Karen, and daughter Kelly moved to New Jersey in 1985 to plant a new Assemblies of God church in Delran.  Working in cooperation with the New Jersey District Assemblies of God, they started Calvary Church in October of that year.  Under their leadership the church has steadily grown numerically and spiritually.  The church began in a funeral home, moved from there to a school and finally to a mall before completing the first phase building the church now calls home.  Pastor Paul, a native of Missouri, did his undergraduate work at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.  He completed a Masters in Ministerial Leadership in 2006 at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.

Pastor Liz came on staff at Calvary Church in March, 2004.  She grew up in Central Jersey and graduated from Monmouth University.  She has a passion to see people come to know Jesus Christ and grow deeper in their relationship with Him.

At the age of 10, God gave Paul the gift of playing the piano without ever having taken a lesson. Through his teens and early adulthood he used this talent for the glory of God, but the lure of the secular music world eventually drew Paul away from the Lord. Through the late 80’s to the mid-90’s Paul was a professional musician playing in the nightclubs and beach clubs of Florida in a lifestyle which put him in the company of famous rock stars and MTV.

By God’s grace and mercy, this prodigal came home and now he sings the praises of the Lord and preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Paul has been a worship leader for he past 2 decades in Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. As an ordained minister and recording artist, he also travels as an Evangelist and singer.  Paul and his wife Debbie have been married over 30 years, they have a daughter Amanda who attends Eastern University in Pennsylvania.Email Pastor Paul

Kelli Mayer is our Financial Secretary.  Kelli is married to Steve Mayer and they have two children. Kelli has a degree in Accounting and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in accounting at Rider University and CPA certification. Kelli served as Financial Secretary at her prior church for 3 years.  Kelli and Steve felt a call from God to begin seeking a new church where they could minister and found Calvary Church. After one Sunday they knew that this was where God would have them remain. The love and friendship that they have experienced at Calvary has been unmatched and they know that God has exciting opportunities for the entire family.

John Furman started attending Calvary Church with his wife in January 2002. They’ve been married since April 1984 and have one daughter.   John is currently the leader of our softball team and Premise Keepers ministry team.

John also was in the merchant marines for 25 years as an officer. He retired in 2000.
